MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Book reading and signing at Barnes & Noble at THE GROVE in LA by 12-yr-old author and lead actress, JOLIE VANIER on SUNDAY, JUNE 6th, 12:00 NOON. Bring a kid!

JOLIE VANIER (von-yay) is a 12-year-old author and actress, and a remarkable child. She is very busy with her acting career, and at the same time she wrote and illustrated 2 books, a magical adventure series called Puwaii Adventures with Joliea & Friends. (http://www.PuwaiiAdventures.com) Both stories take place via a magical submarine that travels underwater, on land, and in the sky to all parts of the world.

INCLUDED WITH EACH BOOK…
Jolie narrates the audio-book on CD, intended for the blind and/or children too young to read.
Read-along w/ Jolie on DVD, which includes “Creativity Corner,” Jolie’s step-by-step art lessons intended to inspire her children-readers to write a book themselves, as well as creating and illustrating their own cast of characters.

PREMISE OF BOTH BOOKS…
Book #1 is a fantastical journey about a magical submarine that departs from Paradise Cove in Malibu and heads to Hawaii and Europe. Along the way Joliea (heroin), “the youngest fashion designer in the world”, her brother and best friend meet up with a cast of crazy under-water and land-based characters. It is Joliea’s goal to travel to Europe to meet Lorenzo Puchini, (inspired by the author’s favorite fashion designer, Emilio Pucci) all the while dodging the evil villain, a frustrated and jealous fashion designer, himself.

In book #2 Joliea and her same friends travel to Egypt, Mykonos, and Monte Carlo, and we are introduced to a whole new group of characters, including a variety of animals and birds, as well as leprechauns and tree fairies.

Both books are a product of this little girl’s imagination and tale’s she’s heard her mother and grandmother.

“The most vulnerable people in the world are also the most courageous. The best artists in the world possess both of these qualities.”

This is a move in the right direction, but perhaps years late. Finally, someone stepped in and is making a difference. See this story…http://westsidetoday.com/n1738/new-anti-paparazzi-law.html
